Unveiled in 2018, the Senna GTR was engineered as McLaren’s fastest model outside Formula 1. Built around the MonoCage III carbon-fiber monocoque, the GTR posts a dry weight of 2,619 pounds, 22 pounds lighter than the road-going Senna.
Wider tracks and an aggressive aero package deliver immense grip, generating up to 2,205 pounds of downforce at 155 mph, 442 pounds more than the street car.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. Active aerodynamics with a DRS-equipped rear wing, a reworked front splitter, and a deep rear diffuser sharpen performance on the circuit.
The suspension borrows heavily from the 720S GT3, with double wishbones at each corner, four-way adjustable Öhlins dampers, and adjustable anti-roll bars.
Staggered center-lock wheels, 19 inches front and 20 inches rear, are wrapped in Pirelli PZero tires. Braking is handled by carbon-ceramic rotors and MSO bespoke blue aluminum calipers (six-piston front, four-piston rear), assisted by a revised booster.
Traction control, stability control, and ABS are derived from the contemporary Senna road car.
Finished in MSO Solar Yellow, #73 wears a bespoke vinyl livery referencing Ayrton Senna’s helmet.
MSO options include a custom electroform badge, special body paint, blue brake calipers, front aero blades, and unique door struts. Track hardware features a roof scoop, front and side air intakes, polycarbonate windshield and windows, and pneumatic air jacks.
An anti-collision system with rearview cameras and radar adds situational awareness during high-speed running.
Inside, GTR-branded Sabelt fixed-back carbon-fiber seats are trimmed in Black Alcantara and secured with six-point harnesses. The cockpit includes an integrated roll cage, fire-suppression system, pit-to-car radio, and titanium-nitride pedals with LM logos, complemented by leather door pull straps.
A multi-function steering yoke fronts paddle shifters and an LCD data logger with integrated shift lights. Despite the car’s singular focus, air conditioning and touring-sized seating with a passenger seat provide a measure of comfort for longer sessions. The digital odometer shows 874 kilometers (543 miles).
This 2020 McLaren Senna GTR chassis #73 of 75 is offered by a selling dealer in Scottsdale, Arizona, accompanied by its build sheet and a bill of sale. With its low mileage, limited production, and MSO specification, it stands as one of the most desirable modern McLarens available.
