In August 2021, Aston Martin introduced the Valkyrie Spider, an open-top variant limited to 85 units.
The Spider replaces the coupe's dihedral doors with a butterfly format and adds a removable roof panel while preserving the coupe's core performance characteristics.
Careful reinforcements to the carbon tub kept weight and rigidity nearly identical to the fixed-roof car.
That engineering allowed the Spider to retain a quoted top speed of 349 km/h with the roof fitted and about 330 km/h with it removed, remarkable figures for any open-top road car.
From Road to Racetrack: Valkyrie in WEC
In 2025 Aston Martin entered a competition variant, the Valkyrie LMH, into the FIA World Endurance Championship's Hypercar class. The move marked the first time a road-derived hypercar contested WEC's top category, allowing Aston Martin to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the highest level and cementing the Valkyrie's role as a bridge between road engineering and endurance racing.
“The Valkyrie was conceived to narrow the gap between road and race cars,” said a senior engineer involved in the program. “Its WEC campaign proved that road-built hypercars can be competitive in endurance motorsport.”
Chassis 39 — Q Division Bespoke Specification
Chassis number 39 was ordered by Argentine collector Alejandro Roemmers as a left-hand-drive, Swiss-delivered Valkyrie Spider through Aston Martin's Q personalization unit. The car's exterior specification centers on a vivid Storm Purple Gloss finish—a £25,000 option—accented with Trophy Silver pinstriping across critical aerodynamic surfaces.

What Chassis 39 Represents
The Valkyrie Spider is more than a limited-run halo car. It encapsulates a decade of development, starting with the Nebula concept and progressing through production and racing, bringing F1 and Le Mans engineering to a road-legal package.
For collectors interested in ultra-high-performance Aston Martins, chassis 39 represents a rare convergence of bespoke craftsmanship, extreme performance, and motorsport provenance. While the Vanquish and Vantage S offer compelling V12 and V8 alternatives respectively, the Valkyrie Spider occupies a unique position as Aston Martin's only road-legal hypercar with direct racing pedigree. As it crosses the auction block, this Valkyrie Spider offers a unique opportunity to own a modern icon of automotive engineering.
