The Ineos Grenadier Game Viewer has officially entered production, bringing a rugged safari-ready build to life. Designed for luxury game reserves and adventure operators, it transforms the standard Grenadier into a bespoke wildlife-viewing machine.
The Grenadier Game Viewer features tiered seating for up to 9 passengers and purpose-built modifications for African safari operations.
The Game Viewer first caught attention as a concept at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Ineos has now formalised production and partnered with Botswana-based conversion specialist Kavango.
The firm responsible for the early safari prototype was built in 2020.
Ineos acquired Kavango in 2023 to bring the model to market at scale.
Purpose-built for safari operators
Built on long and extra-long wheelbase platforms, the Game Viewer ships from Hambach, France, unpainted to allow custom safari conversions in Botswana.
Ineos will ship partially assembled long- and extra-long-wheelbase Grenadiers from its Hambach plant in France to Kavango's conversion facility in Botswana.
Vehicles arrive intentionally stripped of non-essential components, no paint, glazing, tailgates, roof skin, interior trims, or unnecessary electronics, so conversion specialists and buyers can fit bespoke safari equipment.
Seating: configurable layouts for 4–9 passengers
Chassis: long & extra-long wheelbase donor vehicles
Conversion-ready: shipped unpainted and without glazing or interior trims

"This is the Grenadier coming full circle. Sir Jim Ratcliffe's original inspiration for a modern, robust 4x4 came while on safari in Botswana almost 10 years ago… The teams at Hambach and Ineos Kavango have been working together for the last 18 months to bring the Grenadier Game Viewer to life as a full production model, and we can't wait to see it in service."
— Lynn Calder, CEO, Ineos
