According to Speedkore CEO Jim Kacmarcik, "The 'Hellucination' Charger is our most extreme construction ever"
Because even if his completely unique design features a lot of carbon fibre in its construction, one assumes that a rare 7.0-liter V8 makes it very much a "engine vehicle."
Similar to Mopar's 'Super Charger' idea from a few years back, Speedkore's design is powered by a 'Hellephant' V8 that produces the claimed 950lb ft of torque and 950 horsepower.
a lot of power for something that was only introduced in 1968.
Fortunately, from what it sounds like, not much of the 1968 Charger is still in existence.
A strengthened bespoke frame and roll cage, a specially designed carbon fibre floor, tubs, and body, as well as double A-arm front suspension and a four-bar diagonal link rear configuration, were all constructed by Speedkore.
A new steering column and rack, as well as Penske adjustable coilovers, are said to be present for improved agility.
That V8 receives heads and an exhaust with MagnaFlow mufflers made by Speedkore.
Brembo's six-piston front and four-pot rear brakes are attempting to control 1,000 excited horses.
Front and rear 19/20-inch wheels with Pilot Sport 4S tyres support them.
Along with having an all carbon fibre exterior, the inside is also covered with the material.
The CF cannon has blasted the dash, door panels, inside quarter panels, and anything else you can think of.
With the exception of a 2,000 watt Kicker stereo, which attempts to blow what little sense you still have.
Ralph Gilles, the head of design of Stellantis, was the one for whom the entire thing was developed.
"A love affair with the Dodge Charger and Mopar started when I was a child seeing a specific orange vehicle doing great things on TV," Gilles said.
The 1968 Dodge Charger continues to serve as a design inspiration for the upcoming generation of high-performance vehicles.
In restoring this '68, it was our goal to meticulously and tastefully modernise numerous details, adjust the proportions while maintaining their accuracy, reduce the weight while maintaining a comfortable driving experience, and ultimately create a one-of-a-kind piece that the brand's founders could only have imagined.
