Founded in 1975 as Shuler Presses by Arthur Silverton, Overfinch pioneered the performance-SUV concept by focusing solely on Range Rover enhancements.
By 1985, the firm adopted the Overfinch name and built its reputation on luxury upgrades, frequently centring on GM-sourced V8 conversions.
Resilience and a Heritage-Fuelled Revival
The company weathered major challenges, including administration in 2010, but has staged a comeback in recent years. Its Heritage Classic division, responsible for high-value restomods such as the 6.2-litre V8 Range Rover Classic Field Edition, has been instrumental to renewed demand.
Global Growth and Strategic Moves
Overfinch reports healthy profits for the 2024–2025 financial year and has expanded in key markets. A new flagship showroom in Abu Dhabi underlines the brand's Middle East focus, while orders from North America remain strong.
The firm also announced a five-year partnership with luxury gunmaker Holland & Holland. Their first collaboration, due later this year, is billed as "the most luxuriously enhanced Range Rover ever built."
What's Next
Overfinch will introduce a new Overfinch Defender before the end of 2025, and the Heritage division has promised a major 2026 reveal: "the most valuable Range Rover by Overfinch to date." Given past six-figure Heritage pricing, expectations are high.
