Unfortunately, you won't be seeing the modified BMW i4 by AC Schnitzer stealthily tracking down criminals anytime soon.

Modified BMW i4

This is due to the fact that, despite sporting a full Police livery, the vehicle is actually a concept vehicle for Germany's cleverly named and ostensibly exuberant TUNE IT! Initiative, SAFE!

In order to encourage safe tuning, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in Germany is supporting a programme that simply asks tuning shops to display a legally modified automobile in full police paint.

Eight of these police concept cars by AC Schnitzer have been produced to yet, and the newest one gives the i4 a genuine bodykit with a front splitter, many rear spoilers, and numerous extra carbon fibre components.

Additionally, there is a lowering package with new springs that lowers the ride height by 20 to 25 mm, new 20-inch wheels, and several interior aluminium components. Although we haven't been informed of any engine changes, we like to think that this is actually an i4 M50 with a special "police tune" and roughly 1,000 horsepower.
