Bugatti Brouillard Revealed: Solitaire Program’s First One-Off Hypercar

Bugatti has launched the new Solitaire program with the stunning one-off Brouillard—a fixed-roof, Mistral-based hypercar inspired by heritage, speed, and elegance.

Bugatti is taking personalization to new heights with its recently unveiled Programme Solitaire. Beyond the highly bespoke Bugatti Sur Mesure, Solitaire offers a rare chance to own an ultra-exclusive 16-cylinder hypercar, designed and crafted as a one-of-one masterpiece.

Inspired by the coachbuilding traditions of the early 20th century, this program echoes the bespoke charm of historic models like the Type 57.

Each year, only two Solitaire cars will be made, each built on existing Bugatti powertrains and chassis. The first of these is the Brouillard, named after Ettore Bugatti’s favorite horse — a symbol of “speed, beauty, and unparalleled grace.” Fittingly, this 1,600-horsepower Mistral coupe carries that legacy forward with breathtaking style and power.

Design That Commands Attention

The Brouillard reimagines the Mistral as a hardtop, presenting a sleeker, more athletic silhouette. Design Director Frank Heyl explains, “The car’s sculptural surfaces mimic the muscle of a trained horse, blending organic shapes with dignified simplicity to conceal immense power.”

Bugatti describes the Brouillard as the culmination of W16 platform development, highlighting both performance and artistry.

Interior and Details

The cabin is drenched in a rich green theme with bespoke Parisian fabrics and carbon fiber accents. Horse motifs appear throughout—from embroidered door cards to a glass insert in the aluminum gear shifter—underscoring the vehicle’s equine inspiration. A glass roof runs along the car’s central spine, creating a cathedral-like atmosphere around the mighty 8.0-liter W16 engine.

Bugatti Managing Director Hendrik Malinowski comments: “Programme Solitaire allows us to authentically explore our clients’ unique visions. Each one-of-one car reinterprets Bugatti design while maintaining perfect quality, performance, and craftsmanship. Solitaire vehicles are unmatched in exclusivity and detail.”

Looking Ahead

The price for the Brouillard remains undisclosed but surely runs into millions. It’s set to debut publicly at Monterey Car Week in California, alongside a collection of the world’s rarest exotics. And you can bet Bugatti will unveil more Solitaire masterpieces in the years to come.
