The Toyota GR Yaris Morizo RR takes cues directly from Akio Toyoda’s Nürburgring race car. Built for enthusiasts, it blends motorsport tuning with daily drivability.
The GR Yaris Morizo RR produces 276 hp from its turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine, with only 200 units planned worldwide for spring 2026.
Akio Toyoda, widely known by his racing pseudonym Morizo, reportedly had so much fun during his race stint in a specially equipped GR Yaris that he pushed for a street-legal version with the same character.
The result is the Morizo RR, a unique GR Yaris edition with motorsport-influenced suspension, aero, and cabin tweaks.
Toyota says the revised suspension has been optimised to achieve damping forces that keep the tyres in firm contact with the road, including on uneven surfaces like those found at the Nürburgring.
The aim is everyday usability without losing the hot hatch's trademark edge.
Motorsport Tuning Brought to the Road
The Morizo RR features a new Morizo Mode in the GR-Four AWD system that splits torque 50:50 front-to-rear for enhanced driving dynamics and balance.
A new mode in the GR-Four all-wheel-drive system, simply called Morizo Mode, sets torque distribution to an even 50:50 split for improved balance.
Steering assistance has also been recalibrated, while power remains unchanged at 276bhp from the turbocharged 1.6-litre three-cylinder.
Exterior Design and Aero Upgrades
The Morizo RR's aero upgrades include a rear wing, front spoiler, side skirts, and lightweight carbon fiber bonnet for improved downforce and reduced weight.
Visually, the Morizo RR pushes the rally-bred GR Yaris into tuner territory.
A rear wing, front spoiler, side skirts, carbon bonnet and a military-style Gravel Khaki finish give it a 1990s WRC vibe.
Matte bronze wheels and yellow brake callipers complete the look.
Interior and Exclusivity
The cabin features suede trim with yellow contrast stitching, modified headrests, full TFT display, and numbered plaque confirming its limited-production status of just 200 units globally.
Inside, buyers get suede trim, modified headrests, yellow contrast stitching, a piano black grille, a full TFT display, and a numbered plaque.
