This exclusive model is limited to just 50 units. While the current price remains undisclosed, back in 2022, Red Bull had projected a price tag of approximately 5 million British pounds, equivalent to $6.48 million.

Power and Performance

The RB17 is a powerhouse, featuring a naturally aspirated mid-mounted V-10 engine that revs up to 15,000 rpm. Though Red Bull has not provided detailed specifications of the engine, they have confirmed it generates around 1,000 horsepower. This immense power is further boosted by an electric motor, adding an extra 200 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 1,200 horsepower directed to the rear wheels. The electric motor not only enhances acceleration by smoothing out gear changes but also powers the first and reverse gears. The car’s gearbox is uniquely crafted from carbon fiber.

With a total weight under 1,984 pounds, the RB17 is designed to deliver Formula 1-like lap times, achieving a top speed of over 217 mph.

Design and Aerodynamics

The mastermind behind the RB17’s design is Adrian Newey, Red Bull Racing's Chief Technical Officer and a legend in the world of Formula 1. Newey aimed to recreate an F1 driving experience with the RB17, which is a two-seater to allow the thrill to be shared. Newey, who also designed the Aston Martin Valkyrie, recently announced his departure from Red Bull Racing, but not before completing the 2024 F1 season and the RB17 project.

The RB17 boasts one of the most advanced ground effects packages available in a car sold to the public. It features adjustable aerodynamics, including side skirts, and an active suspension system designed to mitigate bouncing and nose lift, known as porpoising—a problem that has plagued Mercedes-Benz AMG's F1 cars in recent years.

A key component of the aerodynamics package is the blown diffuser, which channels exhaust gases over the diffuser to enhance downforce. The car’s downforce matches its weight at speeds of 120 mph, peaking at 3,750 pounds at 150 mph, ensuring the tires remain intact while delivering F1-like performance.

The RB17 offers two-wheel options and comes equipped with bespoke Michelin tires.

Exclusive Ownership Experience

Although the RB17 is not street-legal, Red Bull promises an exclusive ownership experience. Each owner will be "welcomed into the Red Bull Family" with a comprehensive customer journey. This includes access to a series of track events at various circuits, driver development training, and the customization of each RB17 to match the owner's preferences. Buyers can personalize everything from paint color to interior materials.

Servicing and maintenance of the RB17 will be handled directly by Red Bull, ensuring that each car receives expert care.

A Nod to F1 Heritage

The RB17's name has a unique backstory. Initially, Red Bull's 2021 Formula 1 car was intended to be called the RB17 but was ultimately designated the RB16B. Thus, the RB17 nameplate was reserved for this extraordinary hypercar.

Production of the RB17 is slated to begin in 2025 at Red Bull's headquarters in Milton Keynes, U.K., marking a new chapter in the brand's pursuit of automotive excellence.
