Brabus has taken the Mercedes-AMG SL to extremes with its new Rocket GTC, a drop-top super GT. Debuted at Monterey Car Week 2025, this 986bhp cabrio blends blistering performance, radical carbon-fibre styling, and luxurious red-leather interiors. It’s fast, flashy, and unapologetically over-the-top, everything a modern super GT should be.

Brabus has taken things further, boring the twin-turbo V8 to 4.5 litres and cranking the total output to an eye-watering 986bhp.

Torque climbs to 1,342lb ft, though it’s electronically capped at 1,195lb ft to protect the drivetrain, considering the numbers involved.

This raw energy is sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic gearbox, propelling the Rocket GTC from 0 to 62mph in just 2.6 seconds. In short, it’s not just a statement piece; it’s a proper performance monster.

The SL’s body has been completely reimagined with vivid carbon fibre panels, massive wheel arches, aggressive new bumpers, multiple air intakes, and a distinctive ducktail rear spoiler. The visual impact is as extreme as the performance numbers.

Complementing the body are forged centrelock wheels with carbon aero blades: 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. A Brabus stainless steel exhaust rounds out the aggressive package, promising an unmistakable soundtrack.

Inside, the Brabus Rocket GTC matches its bold exterior with an equally opulent cabin. Red leather dominates the cockpit, including the steering wheel, dashboard, and seats, while even the floor mats are crafted from premium cowhide. The interior manages to balance flamboyance with high-end luxury, ensuring every drive feels like a first-class experience.

Stay tuned for more coverage from Monterey and updates on pricing and availability for this jaw-dropping super gran turismo convertible.
